Success Story: Cordial

Implements NetSuite OneWorld and 360 Subscription Billing

Founded in 2014, Cordial, Inc. is a San Diego-based SaaS company that provides end user communications tools to marketing, technology and client service teams. Designed for sending promotional, transactional and triggered messages from a single cross-channel marketing platform, their unique and thoughtful approach operates on the belief that there should be more humanity and empathy in marketing. As a result, their clients enjoy end user conversions from website visits, abandoned carts and personalized discounting. In 2023, the company launched Cordial AI, the first step toward adopting the future of predictive insights for its clients.


Challenge


After realizing significant growth, Cordial reached out to Rapid Cloud Partners (RCP) to help design systems to help its business scale. Cordial was using Salesforce for its CRM, but needed more sophisticated processes for its finance operations. Areas of focus were recurring billing, revenue recognition, AP automation, and reporting. 


Solution


Cordial implemented the system in two phases. In the first phase, RCP rolled out NetSuite Purchase to Pay and Record to Report processes to streamline accounts payable and general ledger close. Cordial also initiated an Order to Cash process in NetSuite to electronically send invoices to customers. Embedded in the billing process was the addition of Avalara to manage sales and use tax.  


In the second phase, RCP worked closely alongside Cordial to enhance its solution by adding 360 Subscription Billing and Advanced Revenue Management to care for recurring billing and revenue recognition. With centralized, robust data related revenue streams and spend, Cordial was able to take advantage of NetSuite’s powerful reporting capabilities to improve strategic and financial decisions. With 360 Subscription Billing SuiteApp for NetSuite, Cordial was able to automate their customer invoicing and payments, while streamlining contract management, amendments and renewals.


By working collaboratively with the Cordial team, RCP was able to find solutions for Cordial’s unique business needs to ensure that the implementation would be a success. Support and training throughout and after the implementation has provided the Cordial team the tools they need to operate in NetSuite confidently.
